1 Yr Anniversary of Living on Nectar Way

We have now lived on Nectar Way for 1 YEAR!! I can't believe time has really gone so fast! Chris and I were trying to think of all the things that have happened in the year that we've lived here and we came up with quite a list.

In no particular order...
  • Cam was born
  • We sold the Pathfinder
  • We bought a Jeep
  • My dad got divorced (again) - Hallelujah this time, though!
  • Chris' bro had a baby
  • Chris' bro got married
  • We bought a new computer (since my other one caught on fire)
  • I participated in my first boutique (and did quite well)
  • I had knee surgery
  • We've made TONS of friends in our neighborhood
  • Chris painted Cam's room TWICE (I picked the first color and it turned out HIDEOUS!)
  • Chris and I celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary and 7 years of being together
  • We planted a London Plane tree (this thing will grow HUGE before we know it and shade our whole driveway
  • Cam climbed out of his crib at 8 months old - what the??
  • Max now sleeps in a cute toddler bed
  • Had a SUPER BAD snow snowstorm that killed our power for one whole day. Yes, it was chilly AND dark!
  • The Utes went undefeated and are on their way to their 2nd BCS Bowl game in 4 years
  • We voted for a new president
  • We planted an awesome flower garden
  • We picked millions of weeds out of our rock retaining wall in our back yard
  • Chris got called to be a Young Men's advisor
  • Our ward boundaries split
We can't think of anything else, but I'm sure there were tons of other things.

This is a regular occurrance in our house. Max LOVES to wake up Cameron in the morning. He must be bored. Ugh....

Do You Still Love Us?

I hope you don't think I've abandoned this blog because I haven't. I've been QUITE the slacker, I know. I am going to take a challenge that wasn't issued to me, but I've issued it to myself - 100 posts by the end of this year. I think I'm at 65, so I'll get crackin'!

I've got lots to update you on from Cameron climbing out of his crib, YES, Chris attending the BYU vs UTAH game, living in our house a year, etc... so keep checking back because I'll be loading up on posts.

Also, I'm toying with the idea of making this blog private. Any suggestions or comments?

I Left my {heart} in Sugarhouse

My friend Jamie is selling her darling condo in Sugarhouse right by Cactus and Tropicals. It's a great starter home and is close to everything! Just minutes from the freeway, downtown, the zoo, whatever!! I used to live in Sugarhouse and I loved it. Sugarhouse just has the best charm with cute bungalow houses everywhere. Right now is the perfect time to buy so QUIT renting!!! If you are interested or know someone who might be, click here to see pictures and find out the contact info.

A Little Story about a Cowboy and a Frog...

Halloween was really fun around here. We spent way too much money on candy thinking we'd never run out but you know what? About an hour into Trick-Or-Treating, the candy was all gone. I felt bad because I could see tons of kids still on our street, so I had to turn off our lights. Chris and Max came home with a nice haul.

Max absolutely LOVED trick-or-treating, but he didn't really care too much for the taking candy part. He was so excited to ring the doorbell and say,"Twick-Oh-Tweet". Then when he was offered candy, he'd take one piece. If they said he could have more, he'd take one more, say,"Thank You," and then head to the next house. It was pouring rain in our neighborhood but that didn't seem to deter ANY of our neighbors.
Here's my silly Cowboy Max and my extra large Frog. :) Cam was a big too tall for his costume, but he'll for sure fit into the ones we've got for him next year.

Cam is growing like a weed. He went to the doctor on Monday and he's almost 20 lbs. *NOTE* Max is almost 3 years older than Cam and only 10 lbs heavier. I think Cam is going to be bigger than Max - height and weight. Yeehaw for tall and healthy kids!

Aren't you glad?

I voted yesterday... did you?

I'm glad I did. I felt very important and I didn't even have to wait in a line. My friend Jenny said it's my grownup version of a gold star.
YAY FOR ME! and for you, if you voted too.

:o)

Oh, by the way, the elementary school by my house (Max will attend this school in a couple of years) is HUGE and super rad. It didn't even have the "elementary smell". I KNOW! I can't wait! Max will love it. Crap! I loved it! It just made me realize how ghetto Hill View Elementary really was.
