Halloween Recap '09

Chris and I thought it would be fun to have the kids decorate cookies for Halloween. I'm pretty sure that more frosting when into the kids mouths and all over them than on the cookies. It was ok because it was really fun for the kids and I think they enjoyed themselves. I know that Cam loved licking the sprinkles off the place-mats. Silly boy!
Posted by Picasa

A couple of days before Halloween I had the kids try on their costumes to get used to them. This was Cam's reaction:
Pure joy, I tell you. Pure joy.
The afternoon of Halloween, I took the kids to my dad's office to do some trunk-or-treating. They seemed to enjoy themselves:
Grandpa Baran, Sawyer the Frog, Uncle JD the Cowboy and his trusty horse, Cam the Dragon, and Max the Pirate. Argggg!

Then we went to Grandma Vi's house and the kids loaded up on more candy. Max wore a penguin costume for Grandma Vi since she loves loves LOVES penguins but he couldn't wait to get back into his pirate costume. Cam was a big fan on the wooden swing they have in their backyard - that is, until he had to get off. Then he was mad at everyone.

I was so glad when Halloween was over. Cam only wore his costume because I convinced him that he was just wearing fuzzy pants and a coat. When he finally looked in the mirror at the end of the day he threw the biggest fit! I hope he does better with this costume thing next year. SHEESH!

2 Month Stats

Where does the time go? Sawyer just had his 2 month checkup and here are his stats:
{Sawyer "stretching" and making a weird face}

Length: 22-1/2"
Weight: 11.2 lbs

He's in the 50th percentile - I guess that's good. He is so happy and smiley all the time. He really is such a joy to have in our family! He only wakes up once at night and it's always around 3:23 am.

My real Soy Boy (as he's known sometimes around here):

Just Wanted to Share

I'm holding a sleeping Sawyer in my arms right now and he is making the most pleasant sounding "Hmmmm" as he exhales. I just love this boy!!!

I love all my boys - each in a different way. I'm always worried each time I have a munchkin that they'll be hard to love or something and each time they make it so easy.

I love my life!

**UPDATE** Sawyer is growing like a weed. He's tall and skinny but he's up to 8 lbs and 21.5 inches now. He'll be 3 weeks old tonight. CRAZY how fast that happens!

Grin

This was just heard at the Lee house:

Mom! Baby Sawyer needs some BREAKFAST! Now, where are your boobs?

Thanks Max! I'll go look for my boobs.

Sorry

I can't believe it's been forever since I blogged... Well, actually, I can believe it. I'm just so pregnant these days and I'm just slacking on the family blog.

Here's a bit of some updates:

Max and Cam are both growing up SO fast! They both love to touch my tummy and feel little Sawyer (yes, that's our baby's name) kick and move all over. They both laugh about it. Max told me that Sawyer was trying to get out and I believe it. Cam just laughs and then points and says,"BABY!" It's so cute.

An update with the baby situation. Sawyer's scheduled birthday is August 5th at 7:30am; HOWEVER, I've been having contractions. SO, if I do go into labor, Sawyer will be born that day instead of in August. I'm really hoping and praying he comes earlier. This kiddo feels HUGE. And I have a recent ultrasound to prove it. At 34 weeks, Sawyer was measuring at 36.5 weeks and approximately 6 lbs 10 oz. SO, now that I'm 36 weeks along, he's measuring 38.5 weeks and my tummy is measuring that of a 40 week along tum tum. So, as far as I'm concerned, he's fully cooked! If he stays in and keeps growing, my doc thinks he'll be between 10-12 lbs! HOLY MOLEY! So, see why I'd like to have him come out now?? I haven't gained a ton of weight - 12 lbs. Not too bad, eh?

I've packed my hospital bag because I'm really hoping to go early. Anyone is welcome to visit me at the hospital. :) I'll be at St. Mark's and I'll be there for 4-5 days (thank you c-section). So please, come visit! Just call, text, or write me or something so I can tell you where I am and I can make sure I don't have 90 visitors at once. That happened last time when I had Cam and it was a bit overwhelming.

Anyway, thanks for reading.

Well...

So in my last posted I promised to be better about blogging. As of yet, I have not followed through with this. I still need to post about Max-a-roo turning 4. Can you believe that??!!

I'll just post this quick picture of Cameron at my sister-in-law's "personal" shower. These were Cam's favorite items. Isn't he just adorable??!!

JD's also all married away to the GREATEST gal! It's kinda nice to not be the only married person now. Now HE can be bugged about having more kids. I need a break. SHEESH!

Where did we go?

We haven't gone anywhere but you'd think we did because of the lack of posts. I will say that Max and Cam have become a dynamic duo of havoc wrecking boys. There are some days that Chris will ask me how I'm doing and I just start to cry. I'm seriously worried about having 3 boys because the 2 I have now are so busy!!! I'm sure everything will work out and the stress will level but for now, our life seems crazy.

He's some fun photos of the kiddos. They're growing up so fast!!

Posted by Picasa
*note: If Cam doesn't want you to take his picture while he's swimming, do it anyway because he still looks super cute in his swim outfit.

An update with our Baby Boy #3: He's a big time mover. Pretty much he's still for a couple of hours throughout the day but mostly I can watch my stomach move all over the place like there's waves inside. I've only gained 9 lbs so far and the baby is estimated to be between 8-9 lbs AT DELIVERY! He seems huge NOW, so I can only imagine. My doc said I can only delivery a week early, so August 4th-ish, here I come. I'll have a more accurate date closer to the time of delivery since I get to plan my c-section. We do have a name picked out but the middle name is up for debate. I can't post the name on here because there are so many other people having baby boys around me and I'd hate for them to take my name before me. They can have it after me, but not before. :)

I'll try and be better about posting. Thanks for reading!!

Just Another Day...

I just wanted to write and say...

Photobucket

to everyone that sent me birthday wishes yesterday. Unbeknown to me, Chris sent out an email on the 15th to everyone in my contact list that said this:

Tomorrow is my birthday!

Call me tomorrow!

My husband is sending this e-mail without me knowing!

Jane (kind of...)
I felt really special getting notes from all of you ALL DAY LONG! I even stopped answering my phone after a while because I had so many voicemails, texts, and emails. Yesterday was a great day and I don't feel so bad saying that I'm 27 now.

Thanks EVERYONE!!

This was even on my Facebook profile:

My Own Baseball Team?

My brother says Chris and I are building our own baseball team. Maybe a T-Ball team? At any rate, Chris and I will be welcoming another
Myspace Comments, Glitter Graphics at GlitterYourWay.com
into our household. I thought I would be sad because I was really rooting for a girl, but Chris is smart and said,"Maybe a bunch of awesome boys picked you in heaven?" Maybe. He's so smart! I feel good about another boy. I am extremely relieved that there is only ONE boy in there. The baby is measuring bigger - meaning, I am most likely 20 weeks along instead of 19. WORKS FOR ME! That just means I can probably deliver at the end of July. YAY FOR ME!

Here are some stills from our ultrasound:

None of our boys have been shy in the ultrasound. None of our boys are shy now. Sheesh!

All of our boys have the same profile, so far. Weird that Max and Cam look nothing alike in person - the bone structure is still the same.

And here we are getting a thumbs up from our little bumpkin. How cool is he already?

He's got strong bones and he's a "mover" just like our other kids. His hear rate was 157 bpm, which is really good. I'm glad everything looks great at this stage. Here's to hoping for another chubby baby. :o)

Can it Be??

Is it possible that I went back in time for one minute? Now if I can just figure out how to go back to my skinny days.... :o)

Google, you are a sly one...

Monday, March 2, 2009

Well....

Ok ok ok OK!!!

I guess it was a bit rude of me to tell you I'd leave you all hanging for 3 weeks.

Here's the deal:

When I'm pregnant, I carry a lot of water. Maybe this is why my kids love swimming so much? Anyway, so I'm always BIG (full of water). With Max and Cameron, I'd measure between 2-6 weeks ahead of schedule at any given time. So when I went into my last appointment, my doc said, just like he always does,"Are you sure there aren't 2 in there?" And I said, just like I always say,"Well, you're the doc, not me." Then he chuckled a bit and started writing some notes in my chart. Then he paused, looked perplexed, and then said,"Well, actually, hold on..." Then he went to get a nurse with a little, portable, DVD player-lookin' thing that was like a mini ultrasound. He was pushing really hard all over my belly trying to feel *something*. I could clearly see my little munchkin's fingers, toes, head, EVERYTHING. But I only saw 1. He kept going and going looking for a second baby... Then he stopped, wrote some more stuff on my chart and said,"Well, I only see one, but... You'll find out for sure at your ultrasound on the 17th." He didn't sound convinced that there was only 1 in there.

So, with that said, there's a chance I have 2 bambino's in my aquatic belly. I have a feeling it's only 1 but my friend Kari had the same thing happen to her and she has twin boys now. I'm hoping for girls... at least one girl will work for me.

Pray for me, that's all I've got to say...

Chris and I have been looking at larger cars... SHEESH! They're expensive!!!

Happy Birthday CAMERON!!

Ooooh, my sweet Cameron! Max chose this apple just for Cameron and I thought,"There's probably no harm in this - Cam has little teeth and a little mouth." I was right- no harm; just look how sweet he looks. He also kept watching me and I know he was thinking I was going to take his apple away. I just love all his little bite marks in the apple. Oh yes, Cam eats real people food and has been for the past 2 months. He's a growing boy and baby food just wasn't cutting it for him. After "apple time", Cam was pretty sticky, so I wiped him off and put him in his chair with some milk, cereal, and cut up apple bits. He was having so much fun making a mess that I just had to let him go and take some pictures later. After this, he was promptly put into the tub. I'm so glad he waited to make a mess until after I put his seat cover in the wash.

I just LOVE this boy!!

Happy Birthday!!

Baby #3 Doc Appointment

My appointment yesterday went great. I still haven't gained any weight since my first doc visit. LUCKY ME! I now have a noticeable baby bump. Y'all hear that! I'm not fat, please notice that I AM pregnant! Also, I received some information yesterday at the doc's office that could be really crazy and will not be confirmed for 3 weeks (my BIG ultrasound).

SO, I will not comment on my crazy news and Chris probably won't either (as he has turned green and might barf) until the end of March.

PEACE!

Milestone # 526,979

Cam's a-walkin... I'm so glad I had the camera close to tape this HUGE milestone. Cam had been taking 1 or 2 steps here and there, but then he'd just drop and crawl because he's super fast at that. Well, that may be a thing of the past.

Please ignore my annoying, excited mommy, voice.

Alas, Boys will be Boys...

Chris and I were actually talking about this yesterday, how boys will be boys and MY boys will be covered with cuts and bruises all the time BECAUSE THEY ARE BOYS. Well, Max has the bruising part down FO SHO! This kid ALWAYS has bruises all over his shins. How does he get them? Who knows? I even asked him how he got hurt and he said he wasn't hurt.

Now that Cam is starting to walk around a bit, the bumps and bruises have begun... he's always running into stuff while he's crawling or getting conked with a toy. Well, today was our first gusher. I guess he bumped his chin on something on the play kitchen and then Max yelled,"Mom, there's BWUUD aww ova!" So I survey the scene and it looked like Cam had eaten some chocolate and it was all over his face... well , it wasn't chocolate, it was blood. Here is a picture after the cleanup:
Not too bad... Here's a closeup of his "wip":

Not shabby... upon further inspection, Cam also has the same slit/cut on the inside of his lip in the same spot... so, my hypothesis (that sounds smart) is that his tooth went through his lip. {Sigh} Now his lip is just getting fat but it doesn't seem to bother him... he just keeps sucking on it. The bleeding has stopped so that's good.

I know this is just a precurser for my life ahead, but c'mon! Cam's not even one yet!!

Grammy = My mom (Leslie)

These words were literally just shouted at me this morning:

Max: I want to go to GRAMMY'S! Go on a date NOW!

We then had a discussion about yelling at mom. A date does sound pretty good about now. Chris, wanna leave work so we can go on a date??

On another note... Cam was up all night for no reason at all; he just didn't want to sleep and wanted us all to be awake with him.
Today is going to suck!

Ordinary Day

Want to see a normal day at our house?

Cam usually likes to begin his day by unloading our island:

And then our day usually consists of silliness. Yes... don't believe me? Check this out:

Still Going Strong

Night #3 and Cam slept right through it. HOORAY!!

Thursday, January 15, 2009

A New Trend Perhaps?

I HOPE SO!! Cameron has FINALLY started sleeping through the whole night. Yes, well, I hope so, at least... Since he's been home from the hospital (10 months) I can count on ONE HAND how many times he's slept through the night. Well, for the past 2 nights he's gone to sleep at 9 (both kids go down at 9) and then gotten up at 8. HALLELUJAH!

I really hope this trend is here to stay because I don't know if I can handle a newborn getting up every 5 minutes and a toddler getting up once a night.

Dear Max,
Thank you for sleeping through the night since you were 2 weeks old. You're AWESOME!

Love,
Mom & Dad

Pray for me!

Further Refi Clarification

Our cousin Todd's fees are just like any other mortgage rep's fees BUT if you refi with him and let him know you're a friend of mine or Chris' (whether it be past, present, or future friend), instead of being charged 1 point for all your refinancing, you'll only be charged 1/2 a point. SO, refi with Todd. I know this is all a bit confusing. Todd said if you call him up or send him an email with what you'd like to do, he'll give you a quote of what it will cost. What can it hurt? Shop around, get some other quotes and compare to Todd's. I guarantee you won't get a cheaper rate.

Questions?

Lemme know.

Monday, January 12, 2009

Refi *UPDATE*

*NOTE* You don't get charged for your refi UNTIL the loan goes THROUGH. So why not see if you can even do it? Odds are you can get a better rate than you have now anyway. Contact Todd today (see 2 posts down).

Peace.

Funny Farm

*her blog has been somewhat updated*

Have you ever met my mom? She is silly, funny, clever, smart, and a GREAT mom! Anyway, she teaches Junior High Science and Health classes and she has been taking an extra class on how to create a blog. So she just created her own blog and it's all about funny experiences she's had. Yes, it's a small blog right now and kinda ugly (sorry mom - I'll help you fix it), but it's GREAT!

Check her out and even follow her blog if you'd like.

Refi NOW! Rates are sooooooooo LOW!!!

From time to time I assist Chris' cousin Todd is doing home refinances. He works for Optimum Mortgage and since rates are so so SO low right now it might be beneficial for you to refinance. Just fill this Quick App out and send it to Todd directly. I won't see any of your information so no worries. What could it hurt? Todd will let you know if he can or can't help you.

Questions, just ask me: junglejanelee {at} gmail {dot} com

Questions for Todd Peguillan, just email or call him directly:
801-254-1467
toddpeguillan {at} yahoo {dot}com

Just make sure you write in the notes section that you're a friend of mine and/or Chris'.

*I don't know how to make a link to a pdf file, so just send me an email asking for the Quick App and I'll email it to you.*

Good luck.

Baby & Knee Appointment

My baby appointment was really exciting. I got to see my little bean and its super healthy heart beating like crazy! My doctor just laughed the whole time I was there. He kept saying,"Weren't you just here?" Uh, yeah, I was. My doctor is a goof. He's started dying his hair and he looks ridiculous. He should just let it go grey! He's not even really old... maybe late 50's? He delivered all of my mom's babies except me. Fun huh?

My knee appointment was also hilarious! Ok, well, not that funny. My doc congratulated me on being prego AGAIN and just said to come back at the end of the year or whenever I'm done having kids. Ha ha! He said my knee looks great and I could leave it like it is for another 10 years. But I'll most likely have my surgery at the end of the year so that I reach my out-of-pocket maximum with insurance and it will, once again, work WITH me and not AGAINST me.

Appointment #1

My first baby appointment is today. Chris is going to watch the kids at his parents house so that we don't have to chase them all over the office. I wish Chris could come with me, but the crazy kiddos we have are more important.

I'll let you know how the appointment goes.

I'm dreading shoveling the snow because it's really coming down, but if I want to go to Salt Lake, I gotta shovel shovel shovel..... Ugh!

Friday, January 2, 2009

Oh Boy, or Girl...

This is a crazy announcement, but Chris and I are expecting again...

I KNOW!!!
Baby Names - BabyNamey.com Name Badge Ticker

While this baby is certainly a surprise, we are very excited to be having another bumpkin. Cam and this baby will be 17 months apart. I know... way closer than we would have planned, but it is what it is. :o)

Hooray for us! Oh, and we need to buy a BIGGER car... We're thinking an Expedition... We need something with at least 7 seats because 3 car seats cannot fit comfortably on one row...

Holy cow!

Wish us luck!
