Max - 2 Years in Review

I cannot believe my little Max-uh-roo is now 3!! The collage of pictures above is a glimpse of his second year on Earth. What a little cutie! He's come so far. Here are some of his milestones:
  • Max is potty trained by 2.5 years old
  • Loves going to the cabin
  • Loves reading books
  • Knows his entire alphabet - he can tell you what ANY letter you point to is
  • Knows all of his numbers
  • Can sing LOTS of songs
  • Loves the band Maroon 5 - he knows lots of their songs and sings along
  • Loves the band Depeche Mode (so does his daddy)
  • Named his grandparents: Grammy, Gramma Duke, Silly Grandma, Great Grandma, Pompa, Papa Bwooce, Papa Jake Jake. *note* These are all different people and Max knows which name belongs to which person. CRAZY!
  • Became a big brother
  • Moved to a new house
  • Loves going to Nursery class because of Angie (his teacher)
  • Repeats what everyone says (WATCH WHAT YOU SAY!!)
  • Gave up the binkie! That darn elf took it away and never brought it back. Oh well. :o)
  • Had his first REAL dentist visit
  • Max also knows all of his colors and has known them for a long time. C'mon, QUIZ HIM! He loves it. :o)
So, on to the important things! Max turned 3 on June 20th. I can't believe he's already 3!! Here is a little video of him opening a present that his Great-Aunt Kathy, and Great-Uncle Joe sent him. Just to make things easy, we call these peeps (and all the other Greats in our family) Gr'Aunt Kathy and Gr'Uncle Joe. :o) This present arrived at our house on the 19th and Max has been dying to open it. I told him he had to wait until his birthday SO, on the 20th, he came into my room at 6:45 am, requested I sing him his 'Happy Birthday song' and then he said,"Let's open the present in the front room! Mom, GET SOME SCISSORS!" So, off we went and after he opened his present, this is what happened:

Then, we dad came home, THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED:

Notice the AWESOME Shrek cake?! Max was so excited about it because he loves Shrek. He got lots of fun things for his birthday but he was most excited about a truck that has a trailer with a bulldozer on it and his blow-up POOL!!! We're going to have to open that baby up soon because it is H O T in Utah!
Happy Birthday Roo!
