One Unhappy Mommy

Yesterday, my neighbor brought over a large table for me to borrow for my stamp class. {THANKS ROBYN!} I, of course, had to talk to her about her new Honda Pilot. Sweet car! Anyway, while I was taking to her, Max came outside and was playing in the front yard. Robyn left and Max said,"Mom, I locked the door." You should have seen my face. I ran to the door and tried to open it. Sure enough, Max had locked us out. No big deal, I thought. We hid a key outside for situations just like this. Hmmm, the key was not in it's spot. Turns out, my dad had used it and hadn't put it back. GRRRrrr! So, with Cam in my arms (good thing I brought him outside with me), I went to my neighbors house to see if the previous owners of my home had given either of them a key. NOPE! So, we had all of our neighbors trying to break into our house. Guess what, it's locked down tight! That's great... but not at a time like this. SO, while Max played outside, I had to sit at my neighbors house and nurse Cam, and THEN I called Chris to see if he could leave work {a 30 minute drive} to let us in. Luckily, Chris was able to leave work and work from home for the rest of the day. We finally got back inside and promptly gave our neighbor a key to our house. Suzanne Davis, you are my savior! Thanks for feeding Max a corn dog and letting him drive Mia crazy. :o)

My neighbors are the best!

No more lockouts PLEASE! Lesson learned - give your neighbors (that you trust, of course) a key to your house JUST IN CASE!
