First things first: LOOK AT WHAT I MADE! My first dig-scrapbooking page EVER! Some of you probably think this isn't very good, but it's my first try and I'm pretty proud of myself. I'm sure I probably made this the hardest way possible, so if there is a site to offer tips on dig-scrapbooking, send them my way please!
Ok, back to US and our 6 years of marriage. Some things you may not know about us:
- Chris and I started dating 7 years ago (April 2001). Chris' lived next door to me when I lived with my dad in his cute little red house. One day, I was complaining about my computer (I had Windows ME and my computer stopped turning itself off after I'd shut down - frustrating, I KNOW!). Anyway, Ashley, Chris' little sister was playing with my little sister, said,"My brother fixes computers." I said,"Send him OVER!" I wrote a little note (which Chris still has) and he called me the next day. We went on our first date that weekend and the rest is history. Oh, and no, my computer never got fixed. :o) A fair trade for a great hubby, don't you think?
- Chris and I both went to Cottonwood High (GO COLTS!); however, we never dated IN high school or even talked to each other. Sad, I know! I really missed out.
- Chris has been working as a software engineer for a great little company in Salt Lake for 7 years. He designs computer software for glass companies all over the US.
- I used to be an Accouting Research Analyst (sounds more important than it was) for JCPenney for 6 years. I worked part-time after I had Max, but only for 6 months and then I quit to stay home with him.
- Chris is very creative and artistic! When we were dating (and even sometimes still) he'd make me love notes and cards. Yes, I've kept every single one of them. One time, he even "scrapped" me a card with his cousin Emily's supplies. I was VERY impressed.
- Chris can remember EVERYTHING! I'm not even kidding. Ask him anything that happened years ago, and he'll remember everything about it including what you said, wore, what the weather was like, what was playing on the radio, etc. This is a handy trait; however, it always seems to bite me in the bum - I eat my words a lot.
- Chris is always punctual. I know, I KNOW! How lucky am I to have a hubby that is ALWAYS on time? It's great! Except now, I seem to be the one always making us late.
- I handle all of our finances.
- I don't cook at all. I can make a sandwich and pour a bowl of cereal, but that's pretty much the extent of my cooking abilities. (Thanks mom!) I think that I could cook - I just don't enjoy it and I feel like it takes too much time. So, Chris cooks ALL of our dinners and breakfast on Saturday. He's SO amazing! He loves to experiment and create really fancy dinners. Have you been so lucky to have been invited over for dinner? Just wait, you're time is coming.
- Chris works really hard so that I can stay home with our two boys. We've made a lot of sacrafices so that I can stay home, but it's totally worth it. We've got a reliable car and a beautiful house. THANKS CHRIS!
- Did you know that Chris loves to fish? He does. He really just likes to do anything outdoors: Hike, Camp, Duck Hunt (his family is big into duck hunting and shooting), oh yeah, and fish - oh, BIG fisherman. We've even got a great little fishing boat.
- Chris is a great gardener and he takes pride in our lawn and yard. I'm glad because I think it looks great!
- Chris is a great dad. I never have to remind him to do things with our kids like change their bums, brush their teeteh, or give them a bath. When I have a girls night out, here and there, I'll come home and the kids are fed, bathed, and IN BED. Plus, the house will be spotless!
- Chris is a neat freak! In a good way. I'm a good picker-upper, but Chris does all the nitty gritty cleaning. He even scubs our kitcgen floor on his hands and knees. SERIOUSLY! Our house is always glistening because of Chris. Thank you honey!
- Chris is VERY active. He can run FOREVER! Before we moved to Saratoga Springs, Chris used to ride his bike to work. Even now, he works out with a personal trainer once a week and he's getting quite buff. Back off ladies, he's MINE!
- I have been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator for almost 5 years. I don't claim to be crafty, but I know a good thing when I see it. SU! has really allowed me to have a creative outlet that I didn't know I had and/or needed. Check me out: Jane Lee's Cards. I even have a craft room in our house, which is so nice because we used to share a room with my craft stuff in our old apartment. :o)
- We have moved 3 times since we've bee married.
- We've owned 5 different cars since we've been married and, between us, 8 different cars since we've been together. That his just crazy!
- I've been blogging for the past 2 years and Chris has YET to put a single post on. :o)
- Chris can fix anything.
- Chris loves sports - love to watch and PLAY! He is very competitive.

Congrats on 6 years! We are coming up on our 6th too! It is amazing how fast time flies by. Sorry I never commented back after your birthing story with Max. We have been in Brazil and Utah. We are finally back and settling down again. My labor and delivery was also dramatic. I will try and make a long story short. I went in for an unltrasound (at 36 weeks) b/c Kate was not moving much. It showed that she was extremely small, had no amniotic fluid, and that my placenta had started to poop out. They sent to the hospital and induced me(they should have never induced me to begin with- don't have a baby in Cali, they don't know what they are doing). After 36 hours of labor, Kate started showing signs of stress (as if the ultrasound did not show that 36 hours earlier) so they wheeled my down for an emergency c-section. B/C I was in labor so long, when they opened me up, they found that I had mulitple abruptions and Kate was stuck in the birth canal with the cord wrapped around her neck 2x! I was hemmorrhaging and they couldn't get Kate out so they cut me longer than normal, but with no success. So then they cut me vertitcally in order to get Kate out (still had to pull her breech). She had to be ressucitated and was immed. sent to the NICU. I spent like 6 hours in recovery b/c they couldn't get my blood press to come up! That is our story in a nutshell. To say the least, I am terrified to have another one!
Sounds like a great guy! Congrats on 6 years! Great job on your page. I've got that digi kit too--so cute! If you want tips, go over to Kari's. She's amazing (and she's self taught, too!)
Cute! I don't scrapbook digitally or with real paper, so I think it's amazing! Cute slideshow.

Email me some info about it!
